I was walking

looking at the sun shining ahead of me

thinking of nothing else

when I fell

I didn't see the hole in the ground

and now I am stuck

it seems to me

that we are all climbing

up the side of a mountain

trying

to get closer to the sun

and sometimes

we fall.

most of us

get back up again

and leave those who can't

in the darkness at the bottom of the mountain

if your left there

you lose all hope

unless

a rare person,

the kind that glows,

gives you light

and picks you up

and carries you

untill you remember

how hope feels

how the rays of the sun feel

and you resume your climb

just to get closer...
